This screen depicts AMPL Plus running on Microsoft Windows 3.1, with a project STEELX.AMP loaded. This project includes an AMPL model text window STEEL.MOD and a mini-spreadsheet window STEEL.QRY. The spreadsheet window shows data retrieved from an external database through ODBC. (Not shown is a set of editing controls for the SQL query used to retireve the data.) Also shown is a portion of the Model window, and the Solver Status window with progress information reported by Frontline's XLSOL solver. The Commands window (currently minimized) may be optionally used to enter commands and view responses from the Standard AMPL command-line interface.
